JUDE HARZER FINE ART

When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”~ Paul Coelho

A young and vital child knows no limit to his own will, and it is the only reality to him. It is not that he wants at the outset to fight other wills, but that they simply do not exist for him. Like the artist, he goes forth to the work of creation, gloriously alone.

The Creative Mind

I am an unabashedly passionate artist! At times I feel that I overwhelm or neglect those who might misunderstand or underestimate my desire to create. I  NEED and love to paint. There is no option! It is only during the creative process that I feel most at peace with who I am.~ It is when I feel most ALIVE!

"The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this:

A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive.
To him...
a touch is a blow,
a sound is a noise,
a misfortune is a tragedy,
a joy is an ecstasy,
a friend is a lover,
a lover is a god,
and failure is death.

Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create - - - so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating." - Pearl Buck

  1. Oh Jude, I understand you...
I am a coward who walked away from the gift/curse I was given. You are strong and self-disciplined. To give in to the pull and the angst and find your peace by succumbing to it...and by letting it take over, you will eventually gain control. And that is what makes you a true artist..xoxo~Pia
