Sketch:Field of Gold

I don't typically create color sketches or preliminary concept paintings of my work but am working toward merging my representational figurative work with abstractions of color and mixed media. Eventually this will become a 7 ft.painting on wood which will include figures. For now, it is an intimate small scale exercise in color. In process, this will also include waxed linen and embroidery thread.
